By the time the Cold War wound down and the Berlin Wall was torn down the global economic powerhouse was getting going, really getting going. This is 1990. The dollar's value on the world market does cycle up and down but the indisputable reality is that as the global economic momentum grows stronger and stronger the dollar weakens. It does not get sold off from weakness but weakens relative to other hard currencies. This is my theory.
So when the United States debt build up is growing fiercely – faster than average since 1945 or so – the world economy will expand rapidly, much more rapidly than the trend. The dollar is strong now because this debt build up is slowing down – it has no choice but to slow down. The US debt is getting more difficult to “service” and so the United States is going bankrupt. As the United States gets closer and closer to default the dollar strength will rise to almost insane and certainly unprecedented heights.
The world is going to be dividing into 3 blocs, 3 economic and political blocs: 1) Western Hemisphere Ashkenazi-Mestizo bloc; 2) Western Eurasia European-Slav bloc; 3) and the Eastern Eurasia Han Chinese-Slav bloc.
I am thinking the Western Hemisphere bloc will be very much the weakest one, so the dollar will eventually be sold off – probably 50% from its peak. This is however a little off into the future and until then the dollar will be strengthening – to insane and unprecedented heights.
